One morning, we made brownies to eat later. We experimented, and mixed pancake mix in the same bowl we used for the brownies. It worked better than I thought it would. The pancakes cooked all the way through, and they were delicious with maple syrup.
We also had a Mexican night where we cooked up beef from Maple View Farm in Granby, and added some taco seasoning. We cut up and made a salad out of lettuce, carrots, tomato, and pepper. We also made a big bowl of guacamole, which everyone ate in about 10 minutes!
I like cooking because it gives me something fun to do. I liked Kids Stir It Up! because I got to do something interactive around my friends. I would like to learn how to cook Chinese Food dishes because there are dishes that I really like, and it would be fun to make them in my own house. -Liam
I like cooking because it is a good skill to know, and it is a fun activity for me. My favorite thing about Kids Stir It Up! was learning how to make my favorite foods in new ways, and making good food with my friends. A new food that I tried was tempura shrimp sushi, which I now love! A new food I would like to learn to make is candy. I think it would be a cool treat for special events. -Hannah
